Active Retirement Group

Active Retirement group is affiliated with FARA – Federation Active Retirement Association. Kimmage is a small but well oiled engine in the big wheel. We run regular day trips around the country and  outings  to theatre. In addition to the days out, we meet in the afternoons for activities such as bowling, keep fit and painting classes here in the church hall.

We are always looking for new members to join us. Our younger members range from 55 onwards, it is €10 to join. We are hopeful with the new building in place we will have new members

Manor Bridge Club
The club meets most Mondays except Bank holidays and promotes the playing of contract bridge. The group generally play in pairs so they encourage people to come in groups of two. They have a large playing membership but would love to see many more from the parish getting involved. They raise monies for the welfare and maintenance of the parish. They also enjoy a weekend or two playing bridge down the country.Contact Mai she would love to hear from you.
The Community Building Team

The Community Building team are one of the newest groups operating within the Parish. They were formed late in 2007 and are coming together as a coordinating team in the community and social life of the Parish. They want to bring the Parish together through both social events and other initiatives to build up our community. The lack of youth participation in our Parish is something the group want to look at and try to put forward ideas to bring them back. Twelve people so far have come along to help and as always more people are always welcome.

Summer Project
Our Summer Project takes place over 2 week during the Summer. It is for 5 to 14 Year old only. We aim to foster community spirit and encourage people to get to know those in their locality.

The Children get to integrate whilst having fun doing sports, crafts, swimming and going on day trips. We are always looking for new ideas and lots of help in running the project.

Youth Club

The Youth Club is a pivotal group for the young in the Parish. Boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 16 are welcome to come along and join us. The Youth club meets most Wednesday nights in the Parish hall at 8-00PM between September and May. The cost is just 1 euro each Wednesday.

Meels on Wheels
Meals on wheels is all about delivering meals to though less fortunate. They are always looking for drivers who can spare an hour or two during the meal to help out and deliver the meals.
